The A family came over for baby Katherine’s cake smash. You may recognize her big sister from my website and business cards. I’m always excited to photograph this family because Mom has an awesome sense of style and dresses the family so well. I want her to take me shopping!
Katherine took a while to warm up, but once she saw that cake she was so excited! Smiles almost the whole time and she obliterated that cake! Feet, hands, and everything in between went into the cake!

For now you only get a “before” picture. The aftermath will be presented later in a storyboard. :)

April 11, 2010Ethan is now the proud ECSTATIC owner of a motorcycle jacket. It was supposed to be for his birthday, but I wanted to make sure it fit. What do I do after he sees it and tries it on? Next time do I blindfold him? haha
He was so thrilled that he agreed to take pictures for me. He even let me spike his hair. He has also started to pose. He waits for me to take the picture before moving on, but most of the time I’m thinking, “what the heck are you doing?” because his poses usually involved being upside down or back to me. However sometimes he hits a winner like below. He has his limits though. He would not change into jeans for me or take off his socks. Okay then, headshots!

April 7, 2010I am slightly obsessed with dressing my boys alike. I know it would be better to just have them coordinate, but I just can’t help myself. When I’m in the store I start off picking out one shirt that looks cute, and then I think “oh I bet Adam/Ethan would look cute in this too.” Then before I know it, I’m at home with matching outfits. I just can’t help myself! My husband says I need to stop. I will, as soon as Ethan doesn’t like it. He thinks it is cool to have his little brother dressed just like him – and so do I!

Scripps Ranch Family Photographer | Easter Hike
April 4, 2010This morning the Y family and I got up bright and early to go for a hike. C was one of the most cooperative (nearly) three year olds I’ve had the pleasure to photograph. She gave me some “cheese”, but also some really beautiful smiles. I just wish I could have seen what Mom was doing behind me because it was cracking the kids up! Baby J was really into checking out his surroundings and gave the biggest smiles when his big sister would start singing. It was great seeing you again Y family and I hope you found a good egg hunt and you are all okay after that doozy of an earthquake!
