Archive for February, 2011

Well I’ve been doing my 52 week project, but I haven’t blogged them, so here is my catch up post. I have my taxes to work on, so of course I cleaned my car today and now I’m choosing to catch up on blogging. Ahh reminds me of college when I would have to clean my room before I could sit down and study for a midterm.

4/52 Lines I was out of town (most of January and half of February in fact), and running short on time to finish my photo for the week. If I had to do it over again I would have waited until lighting was better because the pool water is distracting.

5/52 Unusual perspective I don’t normally shoot from below in order to avoid an “up the nose shot”, but I decided to give it go to see if I could make it work.

6/52 Love At first I was just going to take a picture of the heart, but I decided to see if I could get my kids to participate. It’s like herding cats to get both of the kids to be in a picture together. They know all my tricks and silly jokes. Instead of creating turmoil, I skipped the wardrobe change and left the bits of goldfish in their teeth. I love it, but it’s probably “mommy goggles”.

I’ve been to Seaworld a number of times and always take the same path around and see the same exhibits before my kids are tired and want to go home. This time I switched things up and headed a different direction and saw a lot of cool new exhibits. Who knew there was an aquarium and tide pools?! We also got to see the baby Beluga for the first time. He stuck very close to his mother the whole time and is grey! Maybe the animals like the rain because they were all a lot more active than I’ve ever seen. We caught a glimpse of a polar bear swimming and playing with a bucket, the dolphins coming up the side to get touched and then spitting water back on the unsuspecting people…including us. We also saw sea turtles, lots of fish, and rode the roller coaster in the rain.

The close up of the two of us in back is a crack up. Ethan swears he loved it though.

Since my session this weekend was rained out, I’m posting a few shots from a session I just finished editing. I met with this couple while I was on a trip in Northern California. I had a fun time chatting with them and walking around exploring the area….it was gorgeous as you can see. These two love birds are getting married this November!! R I hope you enjoy the pictures.

A few weeks ago I did valentine mini sessions out in the snow. I had to carefully frame it since there was far more dirt around than snow thanks to the warm weather recently. Here are just a few of the valentines I received in the mail. I love the die cut rounded corners!

On my trip to Northern California I had an engagement session with this lovely couple. They are getting married in November! I still have to unpack, so there will be more to come!
