August 24, 2011Today was the first day of school, and I still can’t believe I have a kindergartner. So many changes and exciting things are in store for my little guy…and me! Aside from eating with Grandparents, he has never been away from me for a meal. I had a hard time with that today, but he brought back an empty lunch bag, so I don’t think it bothered him. Here are a few snaps of his first day and his class.
I wanted to share a cool idea I found to document each school year. I had him write his name and age and each year I’ll do the same in the same spot on the first day of school. It will be a great way to see the progression in his handwriting and his growth (with the dry erase board as a reference). So here is the Kindergarten shot.
My youngest recently turned three. I look at him and still think he’s a baby. I can’t believe he’s entering the terrible threes growing up so fast. He’ll be starting preschool in a few weeks and before I know he’ll be off to college. To celebrate the occasion, I wanted to have a pool party, but somehow Grandma’s pool turned GREEN! So instead of a birthday party we just celebrated at home with a couple of his close buddies. Here is my little dude with his homemade ice cream cake. (If you need a quick, easy, impressive looking, delicious cake, this is really fool-proof!)
What better way to celebrate Grandma’s 70th birthday than have the whole family take a vacation together. Since it’s rare to get all 13 together, this family decided to have family photos taken to commemorate the special occasion. Here is a sneak peek of Grandma and her adorable Granddaughters.
