Recently I photographed Beauty on the Rocks, a new salon in North Park. They needed some photos for their website and facebook page. Esther, the owner is super cool and you can tell she had a vision when she designed it. The brick, vibrant colors, graffiti wall, and decor come together so well. For more info, check out their website: www.beautyontherocks.net.

September 22, 2011Here are some fun pictures from little B’s 2nd birthday party. What is better than spending a morning hanging out with some two year olds, eating cake, and running around like crazy pushing strollers and shopping carts? Well I didn’t do the latter, but it was still fun.
Excited to blow out candles and eat.
He knew exactly what to do and blew out the candles by himself.

Sad faces when Mom says no seconds.

Ahh milk hits the spot after some cake.
Big sister takes a quite moment to read.

Cake, friends, and fun…B thought his party was a slam dunk!

I love Balboa Park. It’s so gorgeous and such a fun place to take kids, whether to run around the fountain, watch a puppet show, or check out a museum. We went to the Natural History Museum the other day and had so much fun. I snapped a couple pictures of my new buddies. I love snakes and lizards when they are safely contained behind glass, but you won’t catch me ever holding one. Yes reptiles aren’t my thing, but I do appreciate their beauty and enjoy them…when they can’t eat me.

I’m still trying to catch up on my blogging, but before I get further behind I thought I’d throw out some current stuff. I took a fun trip to the San Diego Natural History museum in Balboa Park with my boys. It was so nice and empty! They loved seeing all the live lizards and snakes and of course the dinosaur exhibit. I had fun documenting the day. The only issue we had was sitting through the twenty minute 3D movie. Adam just couldn’t do it. Luckily we were able to escape the theater and have a little snack.

Last night I attended the 17th annual Women’s Night Auction at RBCPC preschool which raises funds for the preschool. Though the highlight of the event is the silent auction coupled with desserts, I saw a lot of people just browsing the tables to check out all the elaborate decorations. There was everything from seasonal Christmas decorations to more themed tables like Alison in Wonderland (pictured below). It was great to see so many people from the community attending to support the preschool, over 750 in fact!
