This post is long overdue since baby P has already arrived! I just finished designing an album for them, so I thought it would be a good time to share some of their images.
Mom contacted me a while ago to schedule a maternity session. She said she never did one with her other two boys, and since this would probably be the last baby in the house, she wanted to capture some images of her pregnancy. The P family now has photos to document the family during Mom’s pregnancy, and a gorgeous album coming their way soon.

November 4, 2011I do both mini maternity sessions and full sessions. Some people wonder what a full maternity session is like. I thought I would share some images from a recent session to give you an idea. Basically it ends up being a family session and maternity session or an engagement session and maternity session. If you already have children, it’s a great way to document your family right before the baby arrives. How big the big brother or sister was, his/her personality, and just the family before the latest addition. It’s a special time when the whole family is awaiting the arrival of the new baby. For first time parents it’s a great way to document your lives before the baby arrives and the love you share.
I like to encourage people to pick places that are special to them. Places that they like to spend time, their home, etc. And if it’s your home it’s just a great way to document the house you brought your little one home to.
Here is just a sampling of the N family’s maternity session.

The first warm day of spring I got to go out and meet with a lovely couple expecting their first child in a few months. While planning their San Diego vacation, they scheduled a beach maternity session. They were so easy going and up for anything so I pulled out my fisheye for quite a few shots and I think I’m in love! M family congratulations again and safe travels home!

This weekend I met with the N family for maternity pictures. We were a little worried since weather forecasts were showing rain, but luckily it was completely dry, clear, and sunny! What a relief. They are about to welcome a little girl to their growing family. They brought along their energetic pup Maya who spent most her time chewing sticks when she wasn’t posing for the camera.

And here is the first sibling photograph for the N family.
